L’exposition AU RISQUE DE SE PERDRE, s’appuie sur l’histoire de mémoires et de documents issus de la vie d’une jeune carmélite entrée au couvent au cœur de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, qui, dix-sept années plus tard, rompt le silence du cloître afin de découvrir la « liberté » autrement.
À la fois intime et en résonance avec notre présent, cette exposition questionne, en filigrane, les identités et leurs remaniements face aux croyances et injonctions AUXQUELS touteS idéalisationS sous-tendenT.
Déployée en deux volets, l’exposition propose une cartographie fragmentée où se mêlent images dissonantes par le temps et le style, rassemblant un corpus varié d’archives solarisées, de mémoires photographiques personnelles collectées, ainsi que de compositions graphiques et photographiques. À la frontière entre réalité et fiction.
à travers l’histoire de cette carmélite et de son destin singulier, l’exposition interroge la traversée : une expérience faite de quête de soi, de passages, de silences, de métamorphoses.

The exhibition AU RISQUE DE SE PERDRE, presented at the Beijing Photography Museum and the Xiamen Photography Museum in China, was born from an invitation by curator and cultural attaché Mehdi Brit on the occasion of the France/China Crossing Festival, organized and supported by the French Embassy and the French Institute in China.
The exhibition draws on the memories and documents from the life of a young Carmelite who entered the convent during the Second World War and, seventeen years later, broke the silence of the cloister by leaving to discover “freedom” in a different way.
Both intimate and resonant with our present, the exhibition subtly questions identities and their transformations in the face of beliefs and injunctions underpinning all idealizations.
Presented in two parts, the exhibition offers a fragmented cartography where images, dissonant across time and style, are combined in a varied corpus of solarized archives, collected personal photographic memories, as well as graphic and photographic compositions. At the border between reality and fiction, the exhibition through this extraordinary Carmelite destiny, explores the crossing, addressing themes of self-discovery, transitions, silence, and transformation.
